Organization Details

InspCorp is a research-based technology transfer startup founded by a Thinktank of 3 Engineers and 3 Environmental Scientists committed to the innovation of impactful technologies towards Energy and Food Security, Environmental Conservation and Economic Revitalisation.
Our vision is to change the lives of 1 billion people through inspired and innovative technology by 2050. And our mission is to provide inspired solutions that foster a zero-pollution circular global economy.
Our team integrates focused research with inspired innovation to create problem-oriented technological solutions and projects that address critical social, environmental and economic themes, in Kenya and the world at large.

Impact Story

Since 2018, our founders have drawn their motivation and passion from their humble experiences growing up in the Kenyan suburbs.   Facing an adverse climate and an ailing economy, their childhood was characterised by environments of great need and difficult living conditions. On the contrary, developing countries like Kenya are often lush with rich natural resources and a resilient workforce, showing great potential for thriving circular economies. It is because of this that InspCorp is inspired to develop high-impact innovations that are tailored to sustainably utilize available resources to improve the lives of the local communities to whom these resources belong. To achieve this, we engage in pioneering research and development efforts to develop high-impact projects and provide engineering solutions in the renewable energy and water treatment industries through our three-pronged strategy: Research, Projects and Solutions.

Among our flagship Projects include FreshRain and The Combined Nutrient and Fuel (CNF) Project. With FreshRain, we are targeting the over 20 million Kenyans without access to safe drinking water. The Freshrain System is a scalable, quick-to-implement roof-based rainwater harvesting solution at the household level. It integrates both water harvesting and water treatment processes in a smart turnkey low-maintenance system. Project CNF on the other hand aims to address two key issues: the high cost of fertilizers and the lack of sustainable handling of municipal solid waste (MSW). This cost-efficient novel process is designed to turn otherwise uncollected organic MSW into hyper affordable Gaseous biofuel, an organic soil conditioner and a liquid biofertilizer concentrate with the ultimate goal to promote agricultural productivity through affordable environmentally friendly soil fertility implements that will ensure Kenya’s smallholder farmers can grow food affordably and leverage the quality and safety of organic fertilizers.
