The Future Leaders Initiative SL is a passionate organization founded by Ibrahim S Bangura, a survivor of various forms of violence, with a profound dedication to eradicating violence against children, women, and girls in Sierra Leone. Our mission is to create a safer, more nurturing environment where vulnerable individuals can thrive. Through advocacy, education, and community engagement, we work tirelessly to protect the rights and well-being of every child, ultimately striving to build a future where violence is replaced with opportunities for growth, development, and empowerment.
Impact Story
The Future Leaders Initiative SL was born from the determination of our founder, Ibrahim S Bangura, who endured childhood violence in Sierra Leone. We exist to ensure no child, woman, or girl faces such suffering. Our mission is to create a brighter future for the vulnerable.
Through advocacy and awareness campaigns, we've shifted societal norms and strengthened legal protection for our target groups. Our educational programs empower communities to prevent violence and safeguard rights. Survivor support includes counseling and shelter. Violence cases have decreased, reporting increased, signaling progress toward a safer environment. Crucially, our work has impacted over 11,000 young people, arming them with tools to break the cycle of violence, illustrating our unwavering commitment to a violence-free world.
