Our social enterprise uses an innovative contract farming systems to foster inclusive economic growth by strengthening agriculture value chains that empower marginalized and vulnerable women and youth in rural Tanzania. By enhancing the participation of smallholders, women, youth, and other disadvantaged groups in agriculture value chains, we aim to create opportunities for sustainable livelihoods, reduce poverty, and promote food security and enhance high quality value addition and food processing to raise rural economy, address hunger and inequalities in rural Tanzania.
Impact Story
The engagement of women and youth in agriculture value chains through contract farming to generate significant social impact, contributing to rural economic empowerment, economic growth and community development. Women and youth engaged in contract farming experience higher incomes through agriculture value chains, improving thier financial stability and reducing poverty rates. These women and youth engaged in contract farming leads to decreased vulnerability to food and income insecurity ultimately reducing poverty levels in their communities. These rural farmers have been transformed from subsistence farming to entrepreneurial ventures, expanading their economic opportunities and promotong self-reliance.
