Atlas AI

Organization Details
Atlas AI is on a mission to power the inclusive growth plans of leading organizations, driving benefits to both their bottom line and the communities they serve. Our Aperture® geospatial intelligence platform fuses internal business data with proprietary socioeconomic forecasts to deliver predictive insights that help organizations plan, monitor, and communicate the impact of growth programs, resulting in unparalleled visibility into where the market is heading next.
Impact Story
We measure our impact in two ways: (1) The number of people we reach. GiveDirectly used Atlas AI to identify over 50,000 people in the DRC for their cash grant programs supporting impoverished communities impacted by the COVID pandemic. MyAgro reached 115,000 smallholder farmers across Africa, providing them access to resources and training to grow their businesses and lift themselves out of poverty. The CEO of myAgro stated that. “Through a partnership with Atlas AI—an organization that uses artificial intelligence to measure socioeconomic conditions in emerging markets to offer insights into organizations that can grow most successfully—myAgro has ramped up our ability to gather data that serves many purposes. First, we get access to data that demonstrates the existing mobile connectivity of people in particular areas—areas that we already work in and areas targeted for expansion. This allows us to tailor our outreach and programs to ensure what we offer suits the realities of the farmers we are trying to reach.”
(2) Bridging access to underserved populations: Atlas AI’s platform is deployed across a variety of sectors to promote investment that drives growth and positive impact to underserved local communities. Liquid Intelligent Technologies used Atlas AI's proprietary data on community development patterns in the Democratic Republic of Congo to inform market analysis to expand consumer WiFi access across the country with a focus on traditionally underserved regions. Additionally, we worked with Aquaya Institute, a water and sanitation-focused non-profit, to “improve targeting of water supply subsidies and network development to those who would benefit most.” As stated by The Aquaya Institute, “[Atlas AI’s] methodology for combining GIS and AI data for different high-resolution indicators (e.g., consumption wealth, water access, population, settlement locations) can be used to design and budget for an array of projects in the water and sanitation space.”
