Organization Details

SiLab is a professional platform for social entreprenership and innovation development, impact investment promotion and scaling of social businesses in Ukraine. We supporting existing social entrepreneurs with upskillings, smart grants and partnership developemtn, as well as help future entrepreneurs  find ideas to create social enterprise, supported with viable business models and prepare for their market launch. We also provide services to government and regional agencies, municipalities and integrated local communities to assess the ecosystem potential for social entrepreneurship development. 

Impact Story

Regional programs on development of social enterprise ecosystem designed by experts of Silab have been approved by municipalities in Vynnitsa and Ivano-Frankivs regions in 2020 and 2021.   The alumni community encompasses thousands of people who have participated in four acceleration programmes, two international schools of social entrepreneurship, two  Digital Labs programs,  eight hackathons, more than thirty "idea garages", 2 international conferences for impact focused startups and  impact investors. In 2020 Silab co-founded in consortium with European organisations first Ukrainian Social Venture Fund aimed to provide access to finance for Ukrainian social enterprises.  SiLab supported 18 portfolio social enterprises since the beginning of the war in the form of smart grants.  Silab and  its Ukrainian Social Venture Fund are the main partners in Ukraine of the project "Collaborate for Impact", conducted in partnership with EVPA with the support of DG NEAR EU Programme. The project aims to support and develop social entrepreneurship ecosystems in the Eastern Partnership countries.
