Organization Details
Citizen impact organisation is youth and women led Malawian non government organisation which aims at empowering, leading change, and advocating for social and economic empowerment of children, girls, women, youth and the elderly, it operates mostly in the northern part of Malawi.
We do programmes in education empowerment through career guidance, role modelling roles, edutainment games and movies as a motivation to both school boys and girls, however, in keeping girl child in school we distribute free sanitary wear and train them.
As an economic empowerment CIO has piglet and bee farming in our communities, in addition to that we provide trainings in tailoring and fashion designing. And sports for all.
Impact Story
We have impacted 10 single mothers and 7 youths through our free tailoring and fashion designing they are not dependant having their own workshops, in addition to that currently wr have another 20 plus in take for 2022 intake.
750 free sanitary wear distributed to 340 girls in which others were victims of school drop out due to lack of sanitary wear so we reached out to them and they are back to school, 40 free uniforms were distributed, and bee and piglet farming as an economic empowerment for communities.
