Organization Details
Takataka ni Mali foundation is a non profit organisation that works around the enterprenuership model in the waste management sector. Its solely looks into women, youth and the disabled persons, and how they can make a living to improve their living standards. The organisation drives the creation of green jobs and supporting enterprenuership development in waste management as it uses the circular economy model to minimise waste through, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products. TTNM tries to improve the cleanliness of the environment through reducing pollution to enhance the climate change.
Impact Story
TTNM Foundation has been in partnership with Kajiado and Nakuru county, by assisting the counties in constructing waste management enterprenuership hubs. TTNM has a mobile application through which, the mobile App use has enhanced cleanliness in the environment.
This has been positioned as a symbosis programme where linkages have been made between waste generators, waste users and recyclers, thus creating opportunities for employement whilst contributing to the reduction of GHG and the related health risks caused by mismanagement of solid waste in the counties.
