Impact Story

According to a Nielsen study, about 54% of Generation Z indicated they wanted to start their own company.  Google’s ‘It’s Lit’ publication claims that “Gen Z is the most informed, evolved, and empathetic generation of its kind.”  Translated: approximately 40 million Gen Zers plan on starting a social impact business, but guidance, customers, and capital are unavailable to them. The Ripple Center Fellowship, for 18-24 year olds, provides curriculum, industry leaders, mentors and potential investors for Gen Zers to launch a social impact enterprise.  This program will be free to Fellows through funding from individuals, family foundations, grantmakers and corporate partners.  This removes economic barriers for young individuals who have a passion and purpose for creating a social impact organization regardless of the zip code they were born into.  Fellows will have access to a lifelong community of impact entrepreneurs.

According to Idealist.org, “Fellowships are exceptional because they expose you to invaluable professional networks, engage you in challenging, varied and interesting work and fund work and travel.”  The Ripple Center’s Fellowship aims to be the most effective program for young adults who are striving to take an idea and create a product, service, or organization that can ultimately impact the world for good.  It is a community where individuals are positioned to learn from peers and successful leaders about the historical, societal and environmental factors that shape today's economy.
