Enda Athletic (“Enda”) is a running footwear and apparel brand that works with Kenyan athletes to make running shoes in Kenya for runners around the world. “Enda” is Swahili (Kenya’s national language) for “Go!”, often heard when Kenyans are cheering on athletes towards the finish line. Enda was founded on the idea of increasing the collective value to Kenya from her renowned reputation in running. Making running shoes in Kenya is the first step towards Enda’s vision of contributing to a fair, just and equal world.
Impact Story
Enda was founded with a mission of bringing Kenyan athletic greatness to runners everywhere and fueling economic development in Kenya. In pursuit of that mission, we’re measuring our impact in four ways:
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT- Creating jobs is just a start. By building new products that have never been made in Kenya, we aim to create better jobs both in Enda and in the local supply chain.
SUPPORTING LOCAL COMMUNITIES- A portion of the purchase price of each pair of shoes goes towards social good initiatives in Kenya, we call it Enda Community Foundation
REDUCING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT- We're proud to be a Climate Neutral Certified company. The first in Africa, and the first climate neutral road running shoes.
CHANGING THE WAY THE WORLD SEES KENYA- We want the whole world to know the creativity and skill that can be found in Kenya
