Asociación SERES is a not-for-profit organization that works with marginalized and at-risk youth on the frontlines of social, economic and environmental crisis in Central America, training these youth to be environmental stewards, social entrepreneurs and sustainability leaders, capable of building more resilient, thriving communities. Internationally recognized after receiving the inaugural UNESCO-Japan Prize for Education for Sustainable Development in 2015, SERES is one of the leading organizations worldwide that works to combat climate change by cultivating and catalyzing young leaders to take action at the local, regional, and national levels.
Impact Story
Together with our funders, partners and youth leaders, over the past 10 years we have trained over 5,000 young leaders, 100 youth trainers and supported 76 youth-led community projects that are addressing one or more of the 17 SDGs. Increased recognition and support for SERES both regionally and internationally has resulted in tremendous growth in our political influence, collaborative partnerships and community outreach.
