The personal information that we collect

We collect personal information for professionals seeking to volunteer their expertise, skills, experience, and time, whether or not through a company that partners with us (“Experteers”), representatives of a social enterprise organization (“Representatives”), and for visitors who use the website to contact us or subscribe to our newsletter. We may collect the following categories of personal information submitted to us by individuals through the Services:

• Contact information, including your name, email address, telephone number, postal address, product or service that you are interested in, business email address, business postal address, and any comments that you would like to refer to us. We use this information to fulfill the Services, communicate with you directly, and to send you marketing communications in accordance with your preferences.
• Professional information, including resume information, skills, travelling preferences, gender, age, photographs, job titles, work history, school attendance, employee files, employment history, references, interviews, certifications, employer, your area of responsibility, and any comments that you would like to refer to us. We may process Professional information to fulfill the Services, including enabling us to match volunteer skill profiles with host organization projects.
• Business Representative Contact Information. If you are using the Services as a representative of a social enterprise organization, we collect your name, email address, phone number, position title, primary language, city and country, time zone, photograph, and any other personal information you may choose to share with us. As a Representative, you can access the Services such as submitting a request for support, searching Experteers, and networking with other social enterprise organizations. Through your account dashboard, you can access the Services and update your profile information..
• Account information. The account information may include your account identifier, password, name, work email address, business name, account creation and modification dates, website settings, and marketing preferences. The primary source of the account information is you, although some elements of the account information may be generated by our system, such as your employment information.
• Communication information. We may process information contained in or relating to any communication that you send to us or that we send to you. The communication information may include the communication content and metadata associated with the communication. Our website will generate the metadata associated with communications made using the website contact forms.
• Other Information that you provide to us online, by phone or in person, and we may use this information to respond to your request and provide you the requested Services.

Personal Information from Third Parties

We also obtain personal information from third parties; which we often combine with personal information we collect either automatically or directly from an individual.

We may receive the same categories of personal information as described above from the following third parties:

• Your Employer / Company: If you interact with our Services through your employer or company, we may receive your information from your employer or company, including another representative of your employer or company. We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Service.
• Information we receive from services you connect to our Service: Some parts of our Service may allow you to login through a third party social network or authentication service such as Google or LinkedIn. Your Employer / Company: If you interact with our Services through your employer or company, we may disclose your information to your employer or company, including another representative of your employer or company. For example, survey responses, including your personal information, may be shared with your employer.

Customer Service and Communication Providers: We share personal information with third parties who assist us in providing our customer services and facilitating our communications with individuals that submit inquiries. Such Customer Service and Communication Providers are, but are not limited to:

• We may disclose “Contact data”, “Communication data”, and “Website usage data” to our Customer Relationship Management tool, Zoho Corporation, Pvt. (click to access its Privacy Notice) insofar as reasonably necessary for customer relationship management, website services improvement and customer support.

Other Service Providers: In addition to the third parties identified above, we engage other third-party service providers that perform business or operational services for us or on our behalf, such as website hosting, infrastructure provisioning, IT services, analytics services, employment application-related services, payment processing services, and administrative services. Such Service Providers are, but are not limited to:

• Your personal data held in our platform database will be stored on the servers of our third-party vendor hosting service provider Azure (click to access its Privacy Notice). The vendor does not use or have access to your personal information for any purpose other than cloud storage and retrieval.

Other Users: If you participate in any of the Services including matching volunteer skill profiles with host organization projects. The source of the contact data is you, we may disclose your public profile information to other online community members, as well as any other information you choose to provide or make public.

Ad Networks and Advertising Partners: We work with third-party ad networks and advertising partners to deliver advertising and personalized content on our Services, on other websites and services, and across other devices. These parties may collect information directly from a browser or device when an individual visits our Services through cookies or other data collection technologies. This information is used to provide and inform targeted advertising, as well as to provide advertising-related services such as reporting, attribution, analytics and market research.
