Description and Impact

Born from an experience of a contemporary political context boiling over migration issues, our association aims to promote the mobility, diversity, connections, and integration of migrants spreading the culture of each migrant within the host society with activities based on culture and education. The association wants to expose a migration experience seen from the inside to the outside: that is the example of an association of migrants, by, about and for migrants.

We have a plan to implement a very useful and innovative mobile app p to benefit migrants coming from Haiti, Congo, Senegal, and other francophones African countries, to Brazil. The app is meant to help them gain mobility in communication in the new country, to share their stories with other migrants, and as a channel for support when needed.

To this end, we are looking for an experienced IT and design professional to help develop the app for Android (we have a version of what it would look like)  that allows us to have a new and innovate tool of communication to bring together our different audiences around a single platform that is useful day by day and to reach a growing network in 2018 and beyond. We will be happy to learn from your experience.

Success for this project would the completion of a mobile app.

For Experteers available for a shorter time period, success for this project would be:

  • Determining the technology to be used for the app
  • Mapping out the development process with key components
  • Designing and creating assets to be used in the final product
  • Supporting us to identify and onboard a new Experteer to complete the project
