Project Details

Description and Impact

We are an organization that believes in the power of education to transform lives and bring lasting change. Working in Huaycán, Peru, a developing community in the outskirts of Lima, Peru, we strive to offer free after-school and weekend programs in the form of educational support to children, teens, and women.

We're searching for a videographer to join our team on a short-term basis to create a 10 Year Anniversary Video. We are open to ideas of doing 2 minute videos focused on each program or one longer video featuring all programs. The video should highlight the impact the organization has had in 10 years!

An amazing video to be used at our 10 Year Anniversary Gala and volunteer reunion! This video will help donors connect with what has been achieved--we want to tell our story of impact and convey the emotion tied to our community and work. This video will do that.

Other requirements

We are searching for someone who able to bring this video from concept to reality--someone who is an independent worker, can conduct interviews in Spanish (strongly preferred) and who is available in February (specific start date can be a bit flexible, but the 7th is preferred).

We Provide These Local Benefits

Benefits Overview

  • Accommodations
  • Learning Opportunity
  • Meal Stipend
  • Good For Groups

We can provide housing for up to four weeks in our volunteer house headquarters.

Learning Opportunity

We are a window into a grassroots non-profit and what it takes to run an operation that offers thousands of classes a year, with mostly volunteers. A volunteer will learn about Peruvian culture, ethics of volunteering with LLI, and likely learn a thing or two about really good Peruvian food :)

Food Stipend

All volunteers eat meals together in our volunteer house, provided by our local staff member and amazing chef, Dina!

Additional Benefits

We have an onsite volunteer coordinator willing and able to help you get settled and learn about our immediate community.
