Project Description and Impact

Football Cooperative places recreational football as ‘a hook’ to bring men together to increase physical activity with an objective to improve health. We are committed to the impact our health intervention through recreational football delivers. In 2021, we formed an enterprise-academic partnership with South East Technological University (SETU) to undertake a Social Return on Investment (SROI) study investigating the social value of the Football Cooperative delivery model. The results from this research established many positive outcomes for various stakeholders but most significantly the health impacts experienced from the participants themselves.

The academic study has been a very exciting journey. We have learned a lot about our impact areas and how to collect the data from stakeholders.
