A subset of SAP's Acceleration Collective
The Acceleration Collective is a virtual pro-bono consulting program that connects SAP employees with world-changing social entrepreneurs to help them grow their organizations and impact, while at the same time helping you further develop your skills in leadership and social innovation.
Introduced in March 2023 to help you get even more out of the program for your own networking and career development, cohorts are an opportunity to participate in the Acceleration Collective with a group of your peers, in a set time frame, with additional learning, support, and networking opportunities.

The Magnolia cohort will run from March 15 - May 22nd.

The timeline below includes more details about each of these programmatic elements, and suggestions for how to engage throughout the cohort duration:
On March 15th, attend the Magnolia Cohort Kick-Off Event for an orientation and chance to meet the other colleagues in your cohort. This marks the official start of your learning and growth journey together!
During week 1 of your experience, you will each individually complete the onboarding module linked in your dashboard. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes, and provides guidance about how to navigate the platform, what to expect when working with social entrepreneurs, and tips to help you get the most out of your experience.
During week 1 of your experience, you will begin searching the platform for the right pro bono consulting opportunity for your skills with a world-changing social enterprise.
When you find a project that looks like a potential fit, you'll request an introduction from the project description page.
We encourage you to send 3-5 introduction requests during this time, as it will give you more options to choose from when confirming the project you'd like to commit to.
During week 2 of your experience, you'll start meeting with social entrepreneurs to confirm a match. When an introduction request you have sent is accepted, we will put you in touch directly with the social entrepreneur who posted the project to set up time to discuss how you can contribute, ask questions, and get the information you need to determine if it's the right fit.
On April 5th, attend the first Magnolia cohort meet-up led by Acceleration Collective Ambassadors - designed to build a sense of community and create space for you to ask questions and get support from the MovingWorlds team and your peers.
If you haven't confirmed a match yet, this is a great opportunity to talk through potential options with your peers, get feedback, and learn from their experiences in finding the right project match.
During week 3 of your experience, you'll choose the project that is the best fit for you based on your scoping calls, and confirm the match with the MovingWorlds team. Once confirmed, the MovingWorlds team will guide you and the social entrepreneur you're supporting through a planning guide to align on key deliverables and details about how you will work together.
While each of you is working on your own pro bono consulting project, you'll be invited to a group learning session the week of April 17th on a topic related to making a lasting impact as a skills-based volunteer, and then translating the learnings from your experience back to your own career.
On May 3rd, you'll attend the second Magnolia meet-up with the rest of your cohort, led by Acceleration Collective Ambassadors. This is a great opportunity to share and get feedback on the project you're working on, ask questions, and get support from your peers and the MovingWorlds team.
Wrap up your project based on the end date you and the social entrepreneur you're supporting agreed to in the planning guide. Once the project concludes, MovingWorlds will send you a follow-up survey to learn more about the impact you co-created, and get feedback on your experience as a skills-based volunteer.
On May 22nd (the final day of your cohort period) you’ll attend a Reflection & Wrap-Up event with SAP leaders to showcase the work you’ve done and the impact you’ve made.
