The timeline below includes more details about each of these programmatic elements, and suggestions for how to engage throughout the cohort duration:
The week of 4 November, attend the Accelerate Hub Cohort 1 Kick-Off Event for an orientation and chance to meet the other colleagues in your program. This marks the official start of your learning and growth journey together!
Tips to keep in mind:
Weren’t able to attend the kickoff? No problem! Refer back to your kickoff follow-up email for the recording and Mural link.
The week of 4 November, you will each individually complete the onboarding module linked in your dashboard. It shouldn't take more than 20 minutes, and provides guidance about how to navigate the platform, what to expect when working with social enterprises, and tips to help you get the most out of your experience.
Tips to keep in mind:
The week of 11 November, you will begin searching the platform for the right mentor opportunity for your skills with a world-changing social enterprise.
When you find a project that looks like a potential fit, you'll request an introduction from the project description page.
Tips to keep in mind:
From the week of 11 November to the week of 25 November, you'll start meeting with social enterprise partners to determine the right match.
When an introduction request you have sent is accepted, we will put you in touch directly with the social enterprise partner who posted the project to set up time to discuss how you can contribute, ask questions, and get the information you need to determine if it's the right fit.
Tips to keep in mind:
By 29 November, you'll choose the project that is the best fit for you based on your scoping calls, and confirm the match with the MovingWorlds team.
Once confirmed, you will receive an email with a planning guide and next steps, we recommend you complete this guide with the organization representative as it will help you narrow down your project scope and support you once it is time to wrap-up the coaching project.
If you are unmatched by week 2, expect a check-in email from the MovingWorlds match team with project suggestions.
From November 2024-May 2025, you'll work on your project with your social enterprise.
Wrap up your project based on the end date you and the social enterprise partner you're supporting agreed to in the planning guide. Once the project concludes, MovingWorlds will send you a follow-up survey to learn more about the impact you co-created, and get feedback on your experience as a skills-based volunteer.
