EY has collaborated with MovingWorlds to launch the EY
Coaching Impact Enterprises Across the Globe Program, a
dedicated initiative connecting impact enterprises with
EY volunteers for up to 6 months of coaching and
support.
What can an EY Coach support me with?
An EY Coach can:
-
Serve as a sounding board to help you tackle key
strategic challenges and pursue new growth
opportunities
-
Meet with you regularly over the course of 6 months to
discuss topics like:
-
Strategic and operational drivers (such as
preparing for investment, managing your team,
engaging your customers, validating your business
strategy, integrating technology, and managing
risks)
-
Soft skills (such as work-life balance, adapting
to change, leadership and management style)
How is coaching different from consulting?
Unlike consulting, coaching is not an advisory
relationship.
EY coaches will not make any decisions on behalf of
the impact organization’s management, or offer
specific professional advice.
Instead, they will bring their knowledge, skills,
experience, and networks to help you gain a bird’s eye
view of your company and offer fresh perspective,
allowing you to draw your own conclusions.
How can I make the most of my time working with an EY
Coach?
-
Identify areas where coaching would be most useful to
you
-
Align with your coach on the scope of your work
together and what success looks like before you start
-
Meet with your coach on a regular basis to share
progress, feedback, and ask questions
-
Invest in building a relationship with your coach:
-
Get to know your coach and learn about their
motivations to join the coaching program. This
relationship is just as much about them learning
from you, as it is you learning from them
-
Provide background information and context to your
coach about your company, the industry you operate
in, and how you operate your social impact
business
-
Be respectful of each others time by coming to
meetings on time and providing advance notice if
you will be late or need to postpone a call
-
Build trust by sharing business problems and
challenges that might arise during the course of
the program
