What is the Role of a Coach?

As an EY Coach, you will:

  • Support an AI-driven impact enterprise in identifying key strategic opportunities to strengthen and scale its use of artificial intelligence for the benefit of society and our planet.
  • Meet regularly over the course of 3 months (approx. 3–4 hours per month) to discuss topics like:
    • Strategic and operational drivers (such as preparing for investment, defining an AI roadmap, managing your people, engaging your customers, technology, risk management, etc.)
    • Soft skills (such as work-life balance, adapting to change, and leadership)
  • Bring your experienced outsider perspective and knowledge to help an entrepreneur think and do differently -- mainly by asking questions, prompting reflection, setting goals, and facilitating connections to your wider EY and personal network
  • Help shape a tangible project scope that can be transitioned to an SAP team for implementation support in the second half of the program

Please note that this is not an advisory relationship. EY coaches will not make any decisions on behalf of the impact organization’s management or offer specific professional advice. Instead, you will bring your knowledge, skills, experience, and networks to help your entrepreneur consider their growth journey from different angles and arrive at their own conclusions.

It’s a unique and highly rewarding opportunity that will also enhance your professional leadership skills, build your confidence as a trusted advisor and grow your start-up network.

Program Overview

The Scaling AI for Good Program will run from January 2026 - April 2026

Here are the key dates to know:

  • Match Confirmation: January 20*
  • Program Kickoff: January 21
  • Employees work on and complete coaching projects with their impact enterprise partners: January 2026 - April 2026
  • Week of April 20: Coaches facilitate a structured handover call that transitions the impact enterprise from the EY coaching phase into a SAP consulting engagement.

*24hrs prior to the kickoff event you will receive a match confirmation email introducing you to your assigned impact enterprise, no action is required until after the kickoff event

Attend the Scaling AI for Good Program Kickoff

On January 21st, attend the Scaling AI for Good Program Kick-Off Event for an orientation and chance to meet the other colleagues in your program. This marks the official start of your learning and growth journey together!

Weren’t able to attend the kickoff? No problem! Refer back to your kickoff follow-up email for the recording, slide deck, and other helpful resources.

Connect with Your Assigned Impact Enterprise

You will each have received a match confirmation email in your inbox with the subject: "Congratulations on your match [Org Rep] and [EY Coach]!"

This email introduces you to the impact enterprise partner you’ve been matched with and includes a Planning Guide along with clear next steps. We recommend completing this guide together with your organization partner, as it will help you refine the project scope, align on priorities, and provide a helpful reference when it’s time to wrap up the coaching engagement.

Reply all to the match confirmation email to connect with your partner and schedule time to discuss the project. During this conversation, you’ll want to align on what’s realistic within your timeline and define clear deliverables or outcomes so you can both move forward with confidence.

Tips to keep in mind:

  • Aim to schedule 3–4 meetings with your impact enterprise before February 19 (one month post-kickoff) to ensure the coaching engagement gets off to a strong start and maintains momentum from the kickoff.
  • The coaching engagement lasts three months, so we encourage you to make the most of the time available.
  • If you’re unable to access the Planning Guide via Google Docs, please refer to your kickoff follow-up email for a PDF version.

Accessing Your Assigned Project via the MovingWorlds Platform

  1. Login to your MovingWorlds profile [here]
  2. Select “My Projects” from the lefthand menu in your dashboard homescreen
  3. Under the In Progress tab you will find your assigned project linked for your review
  4. Select Project Hub for an overview of the Planning step you should be completing after the kickoff

Work on Your Coaching Project

From January 2026 - April 2026, you'll work on your coaching project with your impact entrepreneur.

Complete Your Project & Share Your Feedback

Wrap up your project no later than the week commencing April 13 to ensure enough time to transition the project to SAP consultants. Once the project concludes, MovingWorlds will send you a follow-up survey to learn more about the impact you co-created, and get feedback on your experience as a skills-based volunteer.

Tips to keep in mind:

  • Reach out to match@movingworlds.org for wrap up support or refer to your the planning guide you completed at the beginning of the project.

Plan Handover Meeting

By Early April expect an email from MovingWorlds with guidance on facilitating a structured handover call that transitions the impact enterprise from the EY coaching phase into a SAP consulting engagement.

EY coaches should schedule their handover meeting with the SAP team the week of April 20 (between April 21 - 25)

Attend Wrap up & Reflection Call

The August 2026 event will be a chance to come together with your peers at EY and SAP consultant. MovingWorlds to share more information closer to the event.
