Project Description and Impact

We are a Bolivian NGO, made up of a team of committed Bolivian and international professionals and volunteers. Founded in 1992, we have been a pioneer of the environmental movement in Bolivia and are recognized nationally and internationally for founding Rescue Centres dedicated to the rehabilitation of wildlife. We currently manage three Wildlife Rescue Centres: Parque Machia (Cochabamba), Parque Ambue Ari (Santa Cruz) and Parque Jacj Cuisi (Rurrenabaque, north of La Paz). Each Centre offers refuge to wild animals rescued from trafficking, offering them a better quality of life.

Learning Opportunity

Machia is home to over 500 animals of more than 30 species. There is a veterinarian on site and we are looking for an assistant to aid him in the day to day routine animal checks and emergencies that we might have here in the Centre.

Food Stipend

A vegetarian lunch is provided everyday. Breakfast and dinner can be bought at our cafe or cooked by individuals in the shared volunteer kitchen.
