Description and Impact

Agewatch Africa Foundation (AgeWatch) is a nonprofit social enterprise providing elderly care services in Kenya. AgeWatch runs three different programs for the elderly: daycare services, home care, and a residential care center with each program designed to match the care needs of the elderly client. By providing long-term care across different settings, we support our clients’ changing needs so that they can maintain their independence for as long as possible. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are also providing vaccines to the elderly throughout Kisumu West sub-county. We are hoping to expand our vaccinations offerings as more supplies become available.

Although this role is virtual, you will have the opportunity to work with our CEO in Kenya and our other volunteer in the United States. This project can be as collaborative or independent as you prefer. Ultimately, this opportunity will improve our brand awareness and elevate our role in discussions about elderly rights. Your guidance will allow us to expand our reach across Kenya and improve the lives of our most vulnerable residents – the elderly.
