Social Impact Project for Fundraising Experteer to Support non-profit in Kenya
Project Description and Impact
As the staff of Flone Initiative, we normally joke that "we run on blood, food, and passion." We could use a little more money to improve and scale our award-winning interventions.
Flone’s current funding consists of donor funding, membership fees, and project-based grants from a handful of donors. This places the organization at risk due to limited financial stability. We have to rethink our fundraising strategy and use better grant management and donor relations tools.
You can view a TED talk about our work here: https://www.ted.com/talks/naomi_mwaura_a_feminist_reimagining_of_kenya_s_public_transport
By participating in the MovingWorlds Institute, you will first learn social impact frameworks and human-centered design before putting your existing skills and new knowledge to action.In addition, this organization will expose you to new things, like:
- Get insight and hands-on experience on fundraising, grant management, partnerships and non-profit management;
- Learn how to help a non-profit grow;
- Work with a small, multi-cultural and passionate team.
We offer a daily allowance of $26
Flone Initiative invites you to participate in providing and improving livelihoods and safe commuter spaces for Kenyan women and girls.
