Social Impact Project for Digital Marketing Experteer to Support more Revenues to Refugees
Project Description and Impact
Our organization works to provide education and livelihood opportunities to the refugee communities of Malaysia through fashion accessories. With this project, we aim to increase our sales and scale our operations so that we can dedicate a larger profit share to our NGO Fugee School and provide more economic opportunities to the refugee community through upskilling.
We have had several marketing experts providing some advices but not being able to actually help implement them, and regular interns creating content for our social media but lacking a strategic outlook. We lack B2C and online marketing skills that can help take us to the next level and boost our online sales.
By participating in the MovingWorlds Institute, you will first learn social impact frameworks and human-centered design before putting your existing skills and new knowledge to action. In addition, this organization will expose you to new things, like:
You will learn about social entrepreneurship in Malaysia and the conditions of refugees in the Asia region.
open for discussion
We can cover local transportation costs and maybe part of the airfare, open for discussions
You will work in a women's team from different cultural, geographical, educational and professional backgrounds who are all driven by making an impact on vulnerable communities. Fugeelah's team is keen to learn and grow, and you will also be able to see how we impact the lives of refugees on a daily basis. Fugeelah's founder, Deborah Henry, was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2011, and left her modelling career to champion the refugee cause in Malaysia. You will certainly be inspired by her and her family's dedication to this cause.
This project accepts virtual experteers.
