Project Description and Impact
INTRARE is a social startup that provides groundbreaking integration services to refugees and asylum seekers with the society and labor market in Mexico. Since our founding in 2018, over 150 individuals have benefited from our program in which we provide training, mentoring, a peer-support community, and job placement. Within this group, over 80 successfully started a new job. We make employers part of our mission, sourcing adequate candidates for them and providing consulting on diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Currently, we are partnering with 25 companies.
At the moment, we are wrapping up the development of an innovative job placement platform that will optimize and scale access to employment for refugees and asylum seekers. Using the platform, we will pilot a for-profit model of candidate placement for employers. This, if successful, will contribute significantly to our financial sustainability and help us scale our impact faster.
To achieve this scale-up successfully, we want to develop a stronger brand that is aligned with our goals and vision. We also need to review the adequacy of our name for expansion beyond Mexico and design a new logo.
By participating in the MovingWorlds Institute, you will first learn social impact frameworks and human-centered design before putting your existing skills and new knowledge to action.In addition, this organization will expose you to new things, like:
Hands-on experience with an innovative social startup in growth. Direct contact with and impact for refugees and asylum seekers in Mexico.
We will provide the experteer access to an organizational email account and include them in our Slack, Monday and Drive if adequate for them to ensure smooth communication. The experteer can work entirely remotely or join meetings in person if they prefer.
This project accepts virtual experteers.
