Impact Story

WASHNet exists to ensure that every community in Sierra Leone has access to safe water, adequate sanitation, and improved hygiene as a foundation for health, dignity, and development. We address systemic gaps in WASH governance by empowering citizens to demand accountability, strengthening local service delivery systems, and advocating for policies that prioritize equitable access, especially for rural and underserved populations.

Through our initiatives, communities are not only gaining improved water and sanitation facilities but also the skills and voice to sustain them. From rehabilitating wells to training WASH committees, supporting climate-resilient infrastructure, and introducing tools for budget tracking, we have helped reduce waterborne diseases, strengthened resilience to climate change, and fostered trust between citizens and service providers—ensuring lasting change beyond project timelines.
