finEQUITY accelerates the prison-to-prosperity pipeline and addresses the financial toll that incarceration has on families by filling financial voids, establishing financial histories, and offering no-cost financial services.
Impact Story
finEQUITY’s mission is to accelerate the path from incarceration to financial security by delivering tech-enabled tools that help justice-impacted community members build credit, reduce debt, and grow savings. Even after securing employment, many remain financially unstable due to criminal justice debt, poor credit, wage garnishment, and lack of access to safe, affordable financial tools. These barriers often lead to housing denials, job loss, and persistent economic stress.
Our mobile- and SMS-accessible Rewards Platform supports participants in earning points and small cash incentives for taking verified financial actions—such as paying down debt and contributing to savings. We pair this with emergency financial assistance, financial coaching, and support in accessing credit-building products.
finEQUITY delivers its platform through cost-sharing partnerships with second-chance employers and workforce development organizations, embedding financial support directly into reentry and employment pathways. By reinforcing positive financial behaviors and addressing urgent needs, we help participants stay on track and build long-term financial resilience.
