bit&Byte is a Creative Technology Academy that empowers children and educators through engaging, hands-on learning experiences in coding, design, and digital creativity. Founded in 2015, we focus on equipping 7-15 year-olds with future-ready skills by blending technology with storytelling, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. Our programs include weekly academies, workshops, camps, and teacher training, reaching schools across Lithuania - especially in rural areas. We collaborate with universities, tech companies, and NGOs to foster inclusive and inspiring STEAM education, with a strong focus on empowering girls and underrepresented groups in tech.
Impact Story
bit&Byte was founded to address a growing gap in digital literacy, creativity, and confidence among children and educators - especially in regions with limited access to quality STEAM education. We believe that technology should be a tool for expression, problem-solving, and empowerment, not just consumption. Since 2015, we have been designing engaging learning experiences that help kids become not just users of technology, but creators of it. Through coding, animation, game design, and other hands-on creative tech activities, we nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. We also recognize the need for stronger female representation in tech and actively work to challenge stereotypes by providing inclusive programs that inspire girls to see themselves as future leaders in STEAM.
Our impact extends beyond the classroom. Each year, we reach thousands of children, teachers, and communities across Lithuania through workshops, camps, and long-term programs - many in rural or underserved areas. We’ve trained hundreds of teachers to integrate creative technology into their classrooms and launched initiatives like mentor academies and mother-daughter coding sessions to build intergenerational confidence in digital skills. We exist to make the future of tech more human, more creative, and more inclusive. By helping kids and educators unlock their potential, we are shaping a new generation of changemakers ready to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
