Solar Water Project (Bondh E Shams) innovates clean water solutions to empower off-grid communities impacted by climate-change and natural-disasters. Our flagship solution, the OASIS Box™, is an all-in-one solar-powered, modular water storage and filtration unit that removes 99.99% of bacterial contamination and arsenic, providing 10,000 litres daily.  It distinguishes itself from other water filtration systems with its highly scalable “IKEA-style” design, ensuring rapid installation in just 7-minutes. Its robust construction ensures resilience in harsh conditions, while its portability is key to delivering water to remote communities. Each unit is fitted with an internally developed monitoring device that uses internet and satellite connectivity to report water output, water quality and GPS for each unit directly onto our web portal. 

Impact Story

We exist to solve one of the most urgent and persistent global challenges: the lack of access to safe and clean drinking water. This is not just a technological or environmental problem—it is a human rights crisis that impacts over 1.2 billion people globally, especially in under-resourced, rural, and off-grid communities.

We are making a positive impact by targeting water-scarce and disaster-hit communities, focusing on empowering marginalised groups especially women and girls. Since inception, we have deployed over 350 units in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Yemen, SouthSudan, Turkey, and Jordan, delivering 1 billion cups of clean water. Our solution promotes health, supports local economies, empowers women girls, and reduces carbon footprints through its green energy model. Aligned with international standards and holding UN Gold Standard registration, our project generates income through carbon credits, enhancing our capacity to scale effectively and ensuring long-term sustainability.
