Organization Details

The Movement Against Food insecurity Organisation (MAFO) is an agricultural, health and education bias civil society organisation, established in April, 2019. We work with marginalized and under privileged persons for community development, we work with  local women who have been formed into cooperatives and poor children for education advocacy, Falaba district is among poorest areas of Sierra Leone it is home to 205,000 people, according to the 2015 Housing and Population Census.

Impact Story

Contributed in promoting  equity and access to quality education within Sierra Leone’s Free Quality School Education (FQSE) Programme in Sierra Leone and targated over 800 people.

Contributed in Advocating for education service deliverables in Falaba District targeting 506 people. 

Contributed for setting up of over 1,000 local women farmers and formed them into cooperative business to achive sustainability.
