The Migrant Accelerator

A Non-profit

Organization Details

The Migrant Accelerator is a non-profit initiative that supports first- and second-generation migrants in Germany in founding and advancing their startups. It focuses on knowledge- and technology-based startups, offering targeted support through a wide range of programs.

The vision is to collaborate with various stakeholders to create a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable startup landscape in Germany. The Migrant Accelerator not only promotes migrant founders but also works to increase their visibility in society and highlight their contributions to the German economy.

In this overarching role, the initiative acts as a bridge-builder and supporter of the migrant founders' community in Germany.

Impact Story

According to Migrant Founders Monitor, every fifth founder in Germany has a migration background and is facing difficulties in accessing funding, dealing with government offices, banks whilst without a viable network. We want to provide the best value for our community members by helping them with these challenges whilst creating more awareness, visibility and acceptance for them in the wider public. We need to act now – only an inclusive startup ecosystem will be sustainable and ready to face the future.
