Organization Details

Minds Association of Penang (MAP) is a non-governmental organisation that was founded in 2016 by a group of educationists with a special education background. We began with 5 trainees and have 30 trainees registered to date. MAP's goal is to provide education, including vocational and craftmanship training and employment opportunities to persons with disabilities.

Impact Story

Malaysian society has very limited resources (and awareness) in supporting families with young adults with special needs. The existing of Minds Association of Penang, offers a safe place, workshop and second home to these gifted adults. Their parents can then have a peace of mind of a day in balancing livelihood and caring of their children.
