In many peri-urban areas, youth and women face significant economic challenges and limited opportunities for growth. These areas often experience rapid urbanization, leading to a strain on resources, inadequate infrastructure, and increased poverty levels. The lack of economic opportunities forces many to migrate to cities in search of better livelihoods, but without the necessary skills and support, they often end up in precarious, low-paying jobs. This situation is exacerbated by environmental degradation and waste management issues, which further hinder sustainable development.
Impact Story
We work in Mombasa Kenya to help youth out of school and women doing small business utilize technology and available local resources through the integration of entrepreneurship principles, circular economy programs, and digital and green skills, to enhance their capacity to use local resources, convert waste into valuable products, create opportunities within their communities, and actively contribute to building a more sustainable society
