BRIACO LIMITED is a social enterprise dedicated to combating post-harvest loss for plantain & potato smallholder farmers in Tanzania. We transform their surplus plantains & potatoes into delicious and healthy crisps, providing farmers with a reliable market and reducing food waste.
Impact Story
The main focus of our mission is to empower smallholder farmers in Tanzania by addressing the critical issue of post-harvest loss. We achieve this by purchasing their surplus and processing them into value-added crisps, creating a sustainable market for their produce and generating additional income opportunities. This approach not only improves the livelihoods of farmers but also contributes to reducing food waste and promoting sustainable agriculture in the region.
