FOR DEMENTIA: Memory Lane Games' Mayo Clinic award-winning digital health apps turn memories into personalised games for people living with dementia. Our games are designed to not only trigger positive memories but to improve socialisation with family and caregivers. Engage. Play. Calm. Distract. De-escalate. With 3200 GenAI enabled, simple anbd fun (localised) games, 100K downloads to date and over 800 hours of monthly gameplay, we get people talking. By improving socialization, we also help to improve the lives of caregivers. Our UK clinical tial pilot showed 92% of caregivers felt our app made them more relaxed, 83% laughed more and 67% were happier, all while playing our app with a person with dementia in their own homes. 58% of caregivers also reported the person with dementia communicated more. Socialization - not scoring - is our mission. We make it easy to find something to talk about, with games.

Impact Story

Our games were played in over 100 countries (US, UK, CA, PH top 4), and we delivered over 800 hours of measurable impact in March 2024 alone for people living with dementia and their caregivers.

Cognitive decline is one of healthcare's greatest unmet needs. Dementia rates globally are set to triple by 2050 alzint.org). Following Covid, we are seeing the impact of social isolation accelerating into cognitive decline. How can we get people with dementia talking again, building social resillience and enjoyment re-connecting with others? How can we improve the lives of their caregivers and families as well, who deal with challenging behaviors daily that often get in the way of positive conversations.

The Memory Lane Games app is shown to engage people with dementia, giving them something THEY want to talk about, through frustration-free game play. Our simple yet scalable solution won the 2023 Mayo Clinic and ASU MedTech Accelerator.

In the future we see a path to deliver "games as personalised medicine", with digital biomarkers to pre-identify changes in underlying health, through changes in gameplay metrics.
