Organization Details

STAWI seeks to revolutionize sexual and reproductive health in Kenya by bridging accessibility gaps through evidence-based interventions. Our focus includes SRH curriculums for rural youth via randomized controlled trials, addressing taboo topics like pornography and sexual addiction through open discussions, and providing research-based recovery therapies via mobile technologies to break stigmas and promote mental health awareness.

Impact Story

STAWI exists to transform the landscape of sexual and reproductive health in Kenya, recognizing the critical need to address accessibility gaps and societal taboos. Through rigorous research and evidence-based interventions, we want to develop tailored SRH curriculums delivered via randomized controlled trials, specifically catering to the unique needs of young adolescents in rural and remote areas. By doing so, we're not only increasing access to vital SRH resources but also measuring the tangible impact of our interventions.

Moreover, STAWI wants to make a positive impact by boldly confronting the rising issues of pornography and sexual addiction in Kenyan and global society. We want to actively engage in open discussions to break the silence surrounding these topics, leveraging mobile-based technologies to provide research-based recovery therapies. Our innovative approach will employ a peer-to-peer anonymous accountability model and patient-to-therapist connection, aiming not only to tackle the stigma associated with these issues but also to contribute significantly to mental health awareness and support. STAWI's impact story is one of empowerment, accessibility, and destigmatization in the realm of sexual and reproductive health in Kenya
