Over the period, the organization emerged as a front-ranking specialized microfinance institution. It provides high quality flexible financial and social services to one million low-income people, particularly poor women.

Macaw Bangladesh is an education program that provides non-formal education to out-of-school children aged 10-18 years. The program focuses on providing children with the skills and knowledge they need to re-enter mainstream education or find employment.

Background:

In Bangladesh, there are over 3 million out-of-school children, many of whom are living in poverty or in rural areas. These children are at risk of dropping out of school altogether, which can have a devastating impact on their future prospects.
