Borealis is a contemporary country club which serves to build a community united by common values of sustainable living and nature restoration, while celebrating culture and diversity. It provides a second home for both families and individuals to come together and participate in activities that promote social and environmental good. With a strong emphasis on nature and beauty and a move away from technology, which serves solely to enhance the experience.
Impact Story
Borealis exists because there are currently no private members’ country clubs that promote the values required to ensure the preservation of a thriving natural and social environment for future generations. An antidote to the fast-pace and intensity of modern life, Borealis promotes slow living, responsible sourcing, community and diversity, bringing people together through shared values over class or ethnicity.
The main house will showcase art, culture and beauty, and the grounds will provide homegrown produce while part of a wider rewilding and habitat restoration project, based on research into the positive impact these focal areas have on individual and societal wellbeing. The venue and grounds will be carbon negative and all food and beverages strictly plant-based.
