Organization Details

Disability Advocacy and Services Kenya (DASK) was founded in 2021. It is a registered [Reg. No. OP.218/051/22-125/12471] as a national Non-Governmental Organisation by the NGO Coordination Board. It constitutes members from diverse origins and contributions such as 4 members with a physical disability. Our main objective is to improve the welfare of persons with disability in Kenya by enhancing their livelihood and championing their rights. We are guided by the Kenyan Constitution, Kenyan Laws and Statutes on Disability Advocacy, International laws, the DASK Constitution, and an elaborate DASK policy.

Impact Story

We have been engaging in identification of children with disabilities neglected in the communities and assisting them to get services and access quality education in schools near there places of residence. we have brought 40 children out from the community and are now benefiting from health services, education and the commuinity is able to involve and engage them like other community members. 

We also take the conversation to communities to allow persons with disability to show their potential in different areas of work and leadership thus also contributing to them being more empowered and own the responsibility of the community . 

We feed children with severe disabilities and give therapy for free in the commuinities we interact with everyday. we are keen to serve dignity to familiies with extreme poverty levels by providing skills and fing markets for goods produced .

we identify persons with intellectual disability who are often denied rights and subjected to inhuman conditions that put them at risk or danger and link them with facilities that help them medically nutrionally and provide moral support to the family to coop with the condition and know how better to address their needs without hurting them at all
