Since the appliance is able to actually deliver near 100% recycling rates, the world dependence on natural resource mining to create virgin materials will be substantially decreased.
Keeping used materials in a circular system to be used over and over again is a core result of Lasso's system. This ability to effectively capture materials and guarantee recycling means that litter is decreased and possibly harmful materials such as plastics are stopped from entering the air, oceans, and landfills. Microplastics are also mitigated by Lasso's system.
Finally, the increased capture of materials will help stop contaminated bales of material going to disadvantaged countries where they pollute the environment due to the inability of these countries to process our waste and recyclables. Domestically, the fact that the Lasso appliance will pay users to recycle also helps democratize wealth as we redistribute revenues that usually go to an industry historically profiting off cities, governments, citizens, and disadvantaged communities.
