How This Works

Organization Details

Faircado is the first AI-powered search & comparison website and browser plugin for second-hand shopping focusing on sustainability. We close affiliate deals with the biggest second-hand marketplaces in the world (eBay, Vestiaire Collective, Grailed, Back Market, Rebuy, Refurbed, etc.) and aggregate all their offers into one place. The browser plug-in detects when a user shops online and pops-up to suggest them the best, cheapest and most sustainable alternatives for exactly the product they are looking for. Thereby making every consumer save time, money and CO2 effortlessly!

Impact Story

Everyone wants to buy better, and cheaper. That’s why the second-hand market is booming. But it’s not growing fast enough, because finding something specific second-hand is still a pain. It’s time-consuming, inconvenient and mostly unsexy. We had the idea of faircado with Ali (my bestie, and the co-founder & CTO of faircado), after discussing my frustration linked to second-hand shopping. As a conscious consumer and all-time second-hand shopper, I have spent countless hours scrolling through endless offers, opening dozens of tabs to compare options when looking for something specific second-hand. We realized we were not the only ones having that pain. 75% of Millennials and Gen-Z we surveyed would buy more second-hand if there was an easier alternative for it. So we built it.

As we all know, earth’s resources are limited - and by facilitating the reuse of existing products instead of encouraging new production, Faircado provides an effortless way to save time, money, and tons of CO2 emissions for its users while promoting circular economy and saving resources in general.
