Organization Details
Sanergy utilizes a circular economy approach to convert organic and sanitation waste into valuable agricultural and energy inputs – insect-based animal feed, organic fertilizer, and biomass fuels. Sanergy was one of three finalists in Prince William’s inaugural Earthshot Prize to “Build a Waste Free World”, has been recognized by Fast Company as one of the most innovative companies doing social good in the world, was awarded the 2020 Food Planet Prize, and has been selected as a Gates Foundation’ Goalkeeper for contributing towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Our mission is to build healthy, prosperous communities. Living in a clean environment with access to safe sanitation are the building bocks to community prosperity. Sanergy has developed a game-changing solution to address the large and growing waste problem in developing countries. This solution is already operating at scale in Kenya and Sanergy is ready to replicate the model and enrich lives across Africa and beyond.
