Organization Details

Essential Personnel Cambodia (EPC) is the Cambodian non-governmental organization that is dedicated to empowering young Cambodians with disabilities through education and training, leading to employment and independence.

EPC endeavours to empower young persons with disabilities to reach their full potential to become self-sufficient and independent. EPC strives to promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities, and to promote respect for their inherent dignity.

Impact Story

In 2008 staff from Essential Personnel Australia (a registered charity and provider of services to people with disability in Western Australia) visited Cambodia to experience assisting the disabled in a third world country.
There is no welfare, government support or grants for people with disabilities in Cambodia. They are totally reliant on the benevolence of individuals from organisations such as ours. The culture of Essential Personnel Cambodia is built on commitment to improving people with disabilities quality of life through skill development, education, training and employment.
Essential Personal Cambodia was founded in 2015 to improve the lives of youth with disability in Cambodia.  Many of the youth live without hope or an opportunity to become independent and be valued members of their society.
