Wote Initiative for Development Empowerment (WIDE) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered on 23rd January 2018. The organization was awarded a certificate of registration no. 00NGO/0009480 under the NGO Act, 24 of 2002. WIDE vision is to see an “economically stable, healthy, just, and well-educated community within a conducive environment.”
Since its inception in 2018 WIDE has been actively involved in project activities that aimed at improving livelihood and economic development of youth and women in Tanzania. The organization has 7 staff (4 female and 3 males) with 10 volunteers working to support the WIDE mission. The organization has two years of working experience in Tanzania. The role of WIDE will be on project management and providing technical capacity to the team by mobilizing expertise to support sustainable project implementation.
Impact Story
70% of Women, Youth, and Children are major vulnerable and marginalized groups in Tanzania that have been left behind in the development agenda. We are working with women, youth, and children to claim social, economic, and political spaces to enhance sustainable development for all. We are the force of social change using a participatory approach to ensure the active participation of women, youth, and children in development activities.
