Key Education Foundation works to ensure a quality early childhood education for children from low income communities.
We do this through the implementation of a School Readiness Program.
Ask a part of the program we work with schools to provide age appropriate, affordable, play based curriculum, intensive teacher capacity bulding and coaching and support for parents.

Impact Story
A high quality early childhood education [ECE] ensures that children are cognitively, socially, emotionally and physically ready for formal schooling by age 6 and are ready for life. In India, poor policies and implementation around ECE results in:
1. No standards of learning in the early years -therefore, rote based curriculum that is not age appropriate / play based in schools
2. Poor/No teacher capacity building for early educators
3. Parents are largely unaware of the indicators of quality in ECE and are also unable to create conducive environment at home.
As a part of the School Readiness Program, we work wit each of the above stakeholders to ensure that we give every child the best start in life while ensuring sustainablity of the impact.
We ave impacted 4000 children and their fanilies by working with 25 schools in 2018-19. We are looking to double that impact this year by working with 50+ schools in Bangalore, India.
