Organization Details

Simple Education Foundation (SEF) was founded in 2013, with the belief that every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their social and economic backgrounds. All our work is embedded in this philosophy that every child must learn well and must learn equally.

Our vision is to empower all children in India to build a better tomorrow. With over 65% of children studying in India’s government schools, we thus, identify it as our mission to transform teaching and learning practices inside government schools. Currently, we do this through our program ‘Simple Schools’  that is based on a whole-school transformation model. The program is designed to empower four key stakeholders in a school community, and enable them to lead the process of transformation and bridge the learning(and teaching) gap in their schools.

Impact Story

‘Simple Schools’ program is implemented within the framework of a public private partnership with various state government entities. So far, we’ve worked in Delhi-NCR, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir and directly reached out to over 1000 students and 100 teachers across diverse school communities in multiple states of North India.

Within the first two years of our intervention, our students have grown by an average of 50% mastery in their grade level subjects across our partner schools in Delhi. Our  teachers grew by 2 levels on our Teacher Development Rubric, showing considerable progress in their skills, knowledge and mindsets. Also, we were able to improve parent engagement in PTMs and other school related activities by 70%.
