Social Enterprise Consulting Experteer
Support Economic Empowerment in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Mexico
PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND IMPACT
This project offers an opportunity to skilled professionals with interest in joining and making significant contributions to social enterprises in Latin America and the Caribbean. Our Accelerator program works with 60 companies per year on growth and investment strategy. We find that our clients require support from various types of experts with experience in an array of professional areas. Example areas commonly in demand include marketing strategy, talent management, legal, accounting, technology management/development, distribution and supply chains, and others.
Our selected companies are brought together by their commitment to addressing social or environmental challenges through business. They come from a variety of sectors such as food and agriculture, clean energy, ethical fashion, access to health services, education, and urban innovation.
Our companies typically are established for-profit businesses with $50K - $2MM revenue annually, clear product-market fit, teams of 3 - 30 employees, and with back office systems in place. Approximately 50% of the companies are Spanish speaking and approximately 50% are English-speaking.
The location of projects is across Latin America and the Caribbean with a density of potential projects in Mexico, Colombia, Nicaragua, Chile, and Peru, and Haiti, in addition to other countries.
As the projects and needs of each social enterprise are different, the anticipated project outcomes would vary. You can expect to contribute to a critical growth area for a company. Whether in sales and marketing, talent management, distribution strategy, supply chain improvement, your work can be expected to build on priorities that have been previously identified through our diagnostic and business consulting phases.
