Our organization supports health, education and agriculture programs in the Mfangano islands in Kenya.
In 2019 we will begin creating one of a community health facilities and need help with a strategic plan to open serious fund drives across the county and outside the country to get volunteers, well-wishers and donors who can fund the project we are looking for support to develop a strategy on fund-raisers.
To this end we are looking for an experienced HR professional to help (1) recruit on-line fund-raisers (2) build a strategy that allows us to get funds for our project to enable us to put up a new dispensary for the community in 2019. It would be especially appealing if the candidate has experience in the HR department of large company, but we also value experience with smaller companies or a track-record in start-ups.
After we find the right candidate, this person will work with their supervisor to set up a feasible work plan where we will identify the following results and anticipated deliverables which will be further worked out in the work plan:
- Develop a hiring strategy
- Developing a recruitment and selection plan for the building strategy
- Organizational charts for new clinic
In the long run, if the project succeeds we expect affordable and reliable health services to community members.

We will provide a shared apartment that could be shared with other fellows, with a private room. Apartment is walking distance from the clinic where you will work from. The office is safest in the neighborhood in Mfangano Island In Lake Victoria Kenya and it’s popular for its culture restaurants and nightlife.
We can offer a local travel stipend for travel within Mfangano island, but if the project is done on-line outside Mfangano we will share the outcome of the fund-raisers on an agreed percentage to cater for the Experteer's movement costs.
SAGREMA is a first growing start-up that is generating social impact in Mfangano Island. Along with that exposure you can learn Swahili, develop HR strategies and learn how to help organizations grow.
Volunteers will be provided with 3 meals a day by the host family, or receive a prepacked carry lunch if the day's project work is far from the host family residence (as a last resort meals will be bought by our staff if the Hotels are around by the Host if not prepacked)
Opportunity to live in and be immersed life in Mfangano Island for full interaction with community and enough study of of their culture and style of living. Participate in a ground braking social enterprise in the Mfangano Island Health care sector. Visit rural communities to help detect experience first-hand and the most urgent needs of the local rural population.
