Description and Impact
Our organization focuses on renewable energy (solar & biomass) generation, energy management and farm-gate industrial cluster development. Energy poverty is a major challenge in Nigeria. 100million Nigerians have no access to electricity, and about 73% of rural dwellers in Nigeria are not connected to the National grid.
Currently, we have a prototype design for a water tube boiler that shows the specification and dimensions of materials needed. The dimensions will vary, depending on the volume of steam to be generated per hour and the pressure at which the stream will be delivered. We would want the expert to review this design with us, and modify if need be. We would thereafter manufacture two or more boilers with different steam generation capacities together.
The energy produced will mainly be used as an off grid electricity supply to farming communities. Additionally, our boilers will solely be for power generation, the steam exiting our turbine still has a lot of energy. We desire to harvest the steam exiting the turbine and use the energy in it for agricultural or industrial processing.
This project will improve the socioeconomic life of peasant farmers, by helping them:
- process agricultural produce
- reduce post-harvest wastage
- promote food security
- reduce poverty
As an end result we would like the Experteer to support us in the manufacture of a safe, functional and efficient biomass power plant.
We also want to avoid the danger of boiler explosion. We want to be guided on what precautions to make in the design, manufacture, quality control and maintenance of boilers to avoid this disaster.
Our ideal candidate is someone who has good knowledge and experience in manufacturing and operations of water in tube boilers for power generation.
Other important requirement is ability to communicate in English language and capacity to create technical instructions, and an operational manual for the process of water in-tube boiler manufacturing.

A large self contained room with exclusive bath and toilet in a five bedroom house. There are two living rooms that are shared.
We can provide transportation and drinks for social events.
International flights will be provided.
We have very good experience in the manufacture of Toplit Updraft Gasifiers and various hot air dryers. Our steam turbine manufacturing techniques are good too.
There is a steward to prepare continental or local meals for the Experteer. We can provide two meals daily, but tea and beverages are given as frequently as desired.
We can provide site seeing to important tourist centers at weekend.
This project accepts applications for virtual experteers.
