Description and Impact

As a Community Center Manager with our organization, you will be placed at one of our community centers located all around Malaysia. Our community centers place a focus on educating and empowering the underserved communities in Malaysia, and this is exactly what you will experience as a CCM! Our placements are 7-13 months in duration, including a 1 month period of training and job shadowing. Locations of our community centers range from rural jungle villages to central areas of Kuala Lumpur, so we're sure to have something that fits you.

Specific responsibilities of the position include making lesson plans, teaching classes, supervising Volunteer Teachers, and organizing community engagement events.

Deliverables

The impact of this project will be the development and advancement of an underserved community in Malaysia, and specific deliverables are as follows:

Accommodation

Our accommodations vary based not the location of the community center, but they often provide a basic, yet comfortable living arrangement. Accommodation will usually be private rather than shared, and include a bedroom, private bathroom, and living area.

Living Stipend

After the first month of training and probation has been completed, monthly allowance will begin at RM850 then increase to RM1300. This allowance is more than enough to cover the cost of food and basic living necessities.
