Description and Impact
We are seeking an expert Administrator to assist with supporting our local team and regional activities. With the goal being to expand 13 cities in the next 3 years, we would like this expert to help us mobilize our local team, support their event activities, administrative and sales activities, and the volunteer team. Will also be integral in supporting an international team who will be spending 3 months in Trinidad and Tobago understanding the operation and building an expansion plan.
We believe that youth and young professionals in the developing world are educated academically and not socially. They graduate with high academic performances but are not able to communicate and accelerate in the workplace because of a lack of social skills. These young professionals also have a desire to meet likeminded professionals but lack forums to do so. We provide the platform that enables that.
With high youth unemployment and underemployment, our business approach allows companies to use CSR as a means of providing employment and stimulating entrepreneurship on a short term basis, that gives young people a chance to explore and stimulate their career path. Working with companies, we are able to facilitate opportunities that young professionals can use to meet mentors, peers and develop soft skills for advancement.
This project will improve our core competencies by supporting the team locally, leading and motivating the volunteers and supporting global expansion through the analysis, coordination and research support of a local and international team. By doing so this project will help us find revenue channels that will give us the jobs, sponsorships and market access we need to keep the program alive and going strong.
Must be well-organized; knowledgeable and passionate about social media; an excellent communicator and able to lead volunteers.
This project will be considered a success when:
- 6 successful events executed in Trinidad and Tobago
- A solid business and expansion plan toward 13 cities worldwide
- An expanded and motivated volunteer team of 20 dedicated and motivated team
- Systems, processes and structures in place for a sustainable local organization and ongoing local expansion
- An expanded membership base of engaged followers and participants who value the brand and the work done locally.
The experteer will have an office for part of the week and can work from home or off-site for the remainder of the time. The role is independently managed and works with a management team of 4, to which the experteer will belong, and a volunteer team of 6 that we wish to expand to 20.
Recruitment experience is ideal, but not required; organization skills, communication skills and marketing skills are required for success. Social media exposure, reporting writing and analytics and conflict resolution are also attributes that will encourage success in this role.

The skills to be learned/refined during this project include team leadership and management, entrepreneurship, strategic consulting, event planning and management, volunteer management, communication skills, business development, negotiations, proposal writing, and operations.
An office for 1 day a week and the ability to work offsite for 2 others (3 days per week is all that's required, but it's up to the experteer).
