PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND IMPACT
Our organization has been providing training for community members especially women in Balikumbat Sub Division in rural Cameroon. Are you a professional bee farmer and wants to pass the knowledge to another person in Africa? Then CAEPA, Cameroon will help you achieve your mission of reaching out to the people who are most in need of your expertise. An Experteer will have to do practical training for women and community members, ranging from hive construction, installation, harvesting and processing of honey.
Responsibilities of the Experteer
- Fundraising to expand the apiary
- Identify and create marketing channels for honey and wax products
- Oversee the tree planting in the apiary, the higher the number of trees the higher the quantity of nectar produced by the bees
- Bringing their own equipment such as clothing, boots, gloves, veils and smokers to make training easy
- practical training, such as making and installing bee hives, harvesting honey, checking colonized hives etc.,
